Partnering with NBII, USGS, NPS, IUCN, and the Smithsonian Institute, this project provides standardized, documented, taxonomically harmonized species inventories of the world's protected areas. Plants and vertebrate animals are included. Inventories of invertebrate animals will be provided as the required "master species lists" (published nomenclators) and relevant biological inventory data become available.
