Earn 1-3 Units of Education 92/192 Credit
(1 tour per week = 1 unit, two tours per week = 2 units)
Tours take place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 9:00-12:00.
Arboretum Naturalist Interns will lead elementary aged children on school field trips throughout the Arboretum. Interns learn about the local environment, Native American uses of plants, and California Native Plants. Interns receive extensive training in outdoor education techniques and strategies, creative teaching approaches for children, and work with a team of other interns and community volunteers.
Requirements: Intern must have a positive attitude, enjoy working with children, and be willing to work in a group. Past experience working with children helpful.
