Coming to Life in Weeks 5 and 6

People start showing up to visit Korina and the puppies. Neighbor kids offer to baby-sit, and great-grandparents (my folks, and Layton's BC and her folks) come for visits. Friends, co-workers -- gee, we've never BEEN so popular. (Well, maybe last March, when the H puppies were this age!)

They now have a "Puppy Palace" in the garage, with an outside courtyard. The courtyard gate opens to the "Via Pamplona" for the daily "Running of the Puppies." (The "Running of the Bulls"or the "Encierro" as it is known in Spain, was born out of a necessity to transfer the bulls from outside the town to the bullring. Basically the same purpose here, but it's a lot funnier, if not much safer.) They emerge into what we call "Puppy Paradise" -- their outdoor play pen. (Occassionally we open the gates of paradise, and they run freely with mom around the yard -- but it takes a Border Collie (which we don't currently have!) to get them all back in the pen!) For us it's like herding cats!
