3: How Will You Exchange Data with Project Members?
Knowing Each Others Platforms and Capabilities Helps
How can you exchange large GIS and remote sensing data files?
- By CD Rom? Does anyone on your team have access to a CD Rom writer?
- By tape? What size and what kind? 4mm? 8mm? 1/4 inch Back-pack back-up?
- By FTP (file transfer protocol)? This requires internet access and may still not be the best option.
- By portable parallel port drives? Like the Iomega ZIP 100 MB drive, or the similar Syquest.
- By protable SCSI port drives? Like the Iomega JAZ 1 GB drive.
