The National Wetlands Inventory group produces and provides information on the characteristics, extent, and status of the Nation's wetlands and deepwater habitats and other wildlife habitats. We are currently working with the National Wetlands Inventory group out of the Portland, Oregon, regional office to assess and document the status of wetlands in California.
