The course will tour 4 countries and 8 cities during the month of July (Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany), examining the latest advances and ideas in urban sustainability. Inner cities, transit and pedestrian districts, eco-villages, closed loop infrastructure and waste systems, open space and greenbelt networks and other urban features are explored in this course, which combines field observation and mapping, studio work, written and drawing projects with discussion and tours.
