Please mark your calendars for the upcoming summit on Senate Bill 375 and SouthernCalifornia: Climate Change, Economy and Infrastructure – Policies that Shape our Future.  This leadership summit aims to create collaborative solutions that shape the future of Southern California.  It is designed to address key issues and opportunities facing local and tribal officials, business leaders, non-governmental organizations, and those interested in comprehensive regional planning to improve Southern California's quality of life.

You are invited to participate in this leadership summit focusing on the influence that Senate Bill 375 and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 can have on local and regional infrastructure planning to encourage economic development while supporting the state’s commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  Featured speakers include:

Immediately following the summit, the American Planning Association (APA) will hold a regional field hearing as part of its National Infrastructure Investment Task Force: Rebuilding America initiative.  The hearing is one in a series being held around the country to convene regional leaders, planners, issue experts, academics, allied professionals, and engaged citizens to identify major issues of local regional concern related to infrastructure policy and investment.  An opening panel of experts in the fields of planning, infrastructure, energy use, and sustainability will discuss the state of infrastructure in Southern California and offer thoughts on policy and practice recommendations.
