Lecture--3 hours; discussion--1 hour. Prerequisite: University Writing Program 1; Economics 1A, 1B, Biological Sciences 1A, Political Science 1, and University Writing Program 102 recommended. Analysis of the biological, physical, and social interactions which constitute environmental problems, such as food production, energy development and conservation, pollution, and the conservation of natural environments. Emphasis on analysis of problems and the consequences of proposed solutions.--II.
